The theme this year is “Our Treasured Island”
Parade begins on Marine Ave at 11:00am-Party starts right after the parade is over!
An Island tradition filled with Children on Bikes, Island Dogs, Decorated Golf Carts and Floats, Vintage Cars, USC Marching Band, Keystone Cops, Drill Teams, Marching Bands, Local Dignitaries and much more! Come for the parade and stay for the after party featuring live music and dancing in the street at the fire station. Bring your beach chairs and join us for a day of FUN!
Bridge closes at 10:45 am, so get here early.

Calling all Islanders to participant in The 26th Annual Balboa Island Parade - Sunday, June 2nd
It’s that time of year again on Balboa Island, and on behalf of the Balboa Island Improvement Association we would be honored to have you participate in the twenty-sixth annual parade!
This year’s theme is "Our Treasured Island “and the parade will be on Sunday, June 2, at 11:00 AM (you will need to be at the staging area, next to Union Bank on Bayside Drive, by 9:30 AM). The parade organizes on Bayside Drive, crosses over the Balboa Island Bridge, travels down Marine Avenue and ends at the fire station - approximately two and one-half blocks.
We’re following the same procedures as last year. The deadline for entries is Saturday, May 11. There will be a Selection Committee to review all entries and respond to you by Saturday, May 18, regarding the acceptance of your entry. Please provide a brief description of the entry. This is the information the Emcees announce as the parade passes them. Any unique information about the entry or its’ participants is appreciated. Additional comments can always be added later if necessary. Included with this invitation to participate is an entry form and guidelines for judging entries. To maintain the community fun and spirit of the parade, political activity or commercial advertising of any kind is prohibited.
Since the ‘After Parade Event’ was such a huge success the last couple years, we’re continuing it, so plan on staying around after. There will be music in the 100 block of Marine Avenue following the Parade.
Awards will be presented at the All Island Pancake Breakfast at the Beek Center, Saturday, June 15, 2019.
